OUR STORY
Dr Beverley Barnett-Jones, h.c, MBE, and Miss Donna Bailey, M.A., are founders of Nurture Futures. Collectively, we have over 60 years of experience working with children and families. We are two Black female professionals. We have lived and professional experience which we feel has enabled us to hold the tension between the necessity to protect the most vulnerable from harm – children - whilst recognising the systemic harms done to the most ‘vulnerable ‘ families and communities not only by the wider environmental, social and cultural factors which perpetuate the vicious inequities in our society but sometimes by the very systems of care and support being offered.
